Audiosalad @ Joshua Brooks 11.03.05
I can't remember the first time I heard Breakage and Equinox, I think it may have been on the Inperspective Records mix-CD that came with Knowledge Magazine in August 2004. I was working occasionally for Knowledge at that time and would regularly pick up a copy, often just for the great free mix-CDs.
Either way I was buzzing to see that a new club-night was starting in the Joshua Brooks bar cellar and the promoters had booked them both to appear. The night was called Audiosalad and over the following months they presented consistent quality guests. It became a regular D'n'B destination. The very first promotion was a Bassbin Records showcase. Label owner Rohan was first up, followed by Equinox and Breakage. It was a great night, and great way for a new night to lay out it's cards and introduce itself to Manchester's club calendar.
