To see the launch of LP collated by Nicci Cheeks 'Hip-Hop Soul Love' (Fat City Records) Friends-&-Family decamps to the larger basement club, Music Box, for one night. In the main room Nicci herself DJs alongside Fat City regulars & live P.A's hosted by Kung Fu compere Mystro
For me & my date though, we head straight for the much-smaller back room where Daddy G (Massive Attack / Wild Bunch) holds court with most excellent soul & reggae selections. Darren Laws & Dom Sotigu also in attendance
