Left the Temper exhibition opening before reigning itf champion DJ Woody closed the party. My evening continued across town down the Roadhouse stairs at Friends-&-Family, with residents Martin Brew (Fat City) & Christian 'Woody' Wood, with Chris Jam on mic duties, spinning hip-hop classics & soul gems

Always a good party atmosphere, and a low-ceiling cellar club soon heats up; Fuelled by Red Stripe (& even some impromptu drunken break-dancing behind the decks, it seems) alongside a genuine love of hip-hop & soul music: Friends-&-Family will always remain a favourite night out in Manchester!
